HC2DT History

The Highland Classic Two-Day Trial can trace its history back to 1950 when the first Highland Two-Day Trial was organised by the Highland Car and Motor Cycle Club of Inverness.

Programme from the 1957 Highland Two-Day Trial, the forerunner of the Highland Classic Two-Day Trial. Rider on the cover is Duncan Smith of Achallader Farm, Bridge of Orchy on his BSA Gold Star.

It is surprising what turns up years after an event has been run. Here is an award recently discovered by Blackie Holden of Yorkshire:

1959 Highland 2 Day – First Class award
