The Highland Classic Two Day Trial 2023 has a new ‘Trial Partner’ – Inverness business, Gavin Cairns Roughcasting Ltd has decided to support the event in 2023.
We are delighted that the firm has come on board, the company chairman, Mr. Gavin Cairns, himself a keen trials rider will take part in the event.
The IDMCC would like to thank Mick Andrews for being our Guest of Honour at the Highland Classic Two-Day Trial – OSSA Edition. Mick took the time to chat to everyone, he is truly a great ambassador of the sport.
The Highland Classic would not be run if it weren’t for our merry band of observers.
Thanks to all observers of the 2022 Highland Classic.
The provisional results for the OSSA Edition 2022:
Highland Classic/Trophies & Awards:
We are using Observer’s Score Sheets and therefore there will be no awards presentation at the end of the event. In the past, very few stayed behind to collect their winnings.
We understand that many riders actually prefer to leave straight after finishing the trial, due to the distances they travel, so winners will be posted their awards.
The ‘REH Forks Ltd award’ will be a crate of Yorkshire beer, this will be couriered to the winner direct to their home address. Many thanks to Duncan and Judy at REH Forks Ltd for this kind gesture. REH are now official ‘Trial Partners’ of the Highland Classic.
The Rockshocks voucher awards will also be posted to the winners on A & B Routes.
SORRA UK the importers of the Spanish apparel for trial have had bespoke sets of trials clothing produced especially for Guest of Honour, Mick Andrews for the OSSA Edition of the Highland Classic Two-Day Trial.
The rider list for the 2022 OSSA Edition is on the Ossa Edition page
The 2023 Highland Classic will be The Suzuki Edition, and the committee of Inverness & District MCC have agreed that the release time for the online entries will now be 20:00 (8pm GMT) on Wednesday, February 1st 2023.
This is a departure from the normal midnight timescale as there is now no longer an advantage for local entrants, now that we use an online system. This makes it fair for all without having to wait up until midnight to download or complete an entry form.
It will however continue to be acceptance on a ‘First come, first served’ basis.
In accordance with FIM regulations for overseas riders taking part in this years’ Highland Classic, the IMN and EMN numbers for 2022 are:
Highland Classic Trial: IMN 390/19 – EMN 40/704
